Weather

Hello!
Also today, I’m going to talk about weather.

Have you ever heard that British people don’t put up umbrellas?

Part of it is true, I think.
England has a lot of passing shower through a year.

When I stayed there, we got caught in a shower almost every day.
I was so surprised when I went to Landon.

On that day, it was very nice weather!
But while I was cruising the Thames, it began to rain.

This picture was taken at that time.
I was disappointed, however after 30 minutes, it became fine!!!

(After 30 minutes)
British weather change fabulously.
So British people usually wear clothes with hoods and use them during the rain.

This is why British people are said not to put up their umbrellas.
That’s all! :-D

Season

Hello!xxx
Today, I'll talk about weather!

Do you know about British weather?
I was so surprised at it. Because British summer is too cool!!
Look at this graph.
I’m sorry, but I couldn’t find English graph.
This graph shows that Japanese and British average yearly temperature.
When I arrived the UK on August, it was summer but I wore a long-sleeved clothe.
Around the same time, it was so hot in Japan: about 30 degree.

The most surprising thing is that British people was swimming in sea in spite of cold when I went to the Jurassic Coast. On that day, we wore even coat! But they wore swim wears!! Don’t you think it is interesting and wonder thing?

Next time, I'll talk about weather again!
Good-bye♪

integreted Skills 4: School uniforms

This time topic is school uniform! In Japan, almost all of schools have their uniforms. I interested when Isao said that schools have school uniforms not to have rank, to make them feel togetherness, to build up their identities or to have common consciousness. I agree with Isao's idea. Uniform have some good points. First of all, it's easy for family budgets. it costs more much money to buy plain clothes than to buy their uniforms. Next, students don't need to choose plain clothes, so they don't take time in the morning. At last, if they wore their uniform, people could find that they are minors. Uniforms need to protect from them from danger. As stated above, I think uniform is good, but I also think that Japanese schools should respect students' personalities. So I have a idea that schools have various uniforms and students can choose uniform they like. What do you think? This is my opinion. That's all, thank you♪

Integreted Skils;Should English be introduce in Japan as the official language?

This time topic was official language. I disagree with this topic. Now in Japan we use japanese on a daily basis. But some companies introduced English as the official language. English is needed and important all over the world, so they introduced it. Anna who is a president of Japanese motor company said that we need to introduce it to diversify overseas and to take off business. I think it is a good way for companies, but people who don't work such companies don't need it. I was interested when Paul said that Japanese English is strange and if English were introduced as the official language, we could practice proper English. I think introduction of English as the official language is too hard for Japanese people, so government should focus on education in elementary, junior or high school. This is why I disagree with it.

Collage

This time topic is campus life!
I talked with British students at university of Bath in my trip and visited their campus. In England, there are few private Universities. On the other hands, in Japan, there are many private Universities. University of Bath is a national collage. At first, I was surprised at scale of it. The campus was huge and there is much kind of facilities such as dormitories, restaurants and sports facilities. This picture is their campus.
The most surprising thing is bar. They have bars and it is common to drink in their campus. This is in contrast to Japanese students. This picture is my campus!
My collage is small; there are only about 2000 students! Of course, we don’t have bars, only café. We can’t drink in our campus. So I envy British students. I think Universities in Japan are little formal and boring compared to British! What do you think about this?
